Far North West Joint Organisation
Regional Drought Resilience Plan
This Regional Drought Resilience Plan (RDR Plan - 016) emerges from a collaborative effort across local government boundaries, involving community consultation with the Coonamble Shire Council, Warren Shire Council and Bogan Shire Council, which together form the Northwest NSW Region.
Working in collaboration with The Coonamble Times, which acted as content editor for the project, I was contracted to re-design the findings and lay out a final plan with improved readability when it came to to releasing it to the public.
My main objectives were to make it:
• Engaging - Colourful and vibrant to reflect the communities it covers.
• Consumable - Easier to read and more digestable information for the average joe.
• Concise - Shrink the original document (from 204 pages to 153 pages).
The final product being a comprehensive 153 page document which can now be viewed on the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry of Australia website HERE.
